-Abducted Ondo Church Members Released After 50M Ransom
Abducted Choir members of Christ Apostolic Church, in Ondo State have been released, after a ransom of 50M was payed.
You’d recall that the victims were kidnapped along Ifon-Benin road on their way to a funeral ceremony.
About 25 of them were kidnapped, while some managed to escape, the remaining were released after a ransom of 50M was payed for them.
Speaking to a reporter, one of the church members said the abducted were released after the church and families gathered the money.
He said: “The negotiating team of the church returned with the remaining victims at 11:47 pm to the premises of the church in Akure.”

The leadership of the Ondo State House of Assembly, led by the Deputy Speaker, Abayomi Akinruntan visited the church and family members, condemning and described the incident as unfortunate.
He also assured the community that there would be adequate and maximum security to ensure that the lives and property of the people of Ondo State are protected.
